Parents/Carers and Spectators Code of Conduct
At 1st Touch Football Kickz, we value the crucial role parents play in fostering a positive and enriching experience for children in football. To ensure that everyone involved benefits from a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment, we kindly ask all parents and guardians to adhere to our Code of Conduct.
Support and Encouragement
1. Promote Positivity: Encourage your child and their teammates, celebrating effort and progress rather than focusing on outcomes.
2. Motivate Through Support: Be your child’s cheerleader, helping them build confidence and enthusiasm for learning and playing football.
3. Celebrate Sportsmanship: Teach your child the importance of respect for opponents, teammates, referees, and coaches, modelling these behaviours yourself.
Respect and Communication
1. Respect Coaching Expertise: Trust our qualified coaches to guide and develop your child’s skills. Avoid giving instructions from the sidelines as this can create confusion.
2. Show Courtesy: Be respectful to coaches, staff, other parents, and players at all times. Refrain from using inappropriate language or behaviour.
3. Open Dialogue: Communicate respectfully with coaches regarding any concerns about your child’s experience or progress, ensuring a collaborative approach to their development.
Behaviour on the Sidelines
1. Cheer Responsibly: Be enthusiastic and supportive without directing negative comments toward referees, players, or coaches.
2. Promote Enjoyment Over Winning: Focus on your child’s enjoyment and development rather than the score or results.
3. Avoid Disruption: Keep the sidelines a positive and focused space, allowing players to concentrate and coaches to lead effectively.
Inclusivity and Respect for All
1. Encourage Fair Play: Ensure your child understands and practices fairness and inclusivity on and off the pitch.
2. Welcome All Participants: Foster an environment that embraces children of all backgrounds, abilities, and skill levels.
3. Discourage Negative Behaviour: Help prevent actions such as bullying, exclusion, or unsportsmanlike conduct.
Safety and Responsibility
1. Ensure Preparedness: Make sure your child arrives on time, equipped with the right footwear, clothing, and water bottle for the session.
2. Monitor Well-Being: Inform coaches of any specific needs, allergies, or health concerns your child may have.
3. Follow Safeguarding Policies: Cooperate with staff to uphold safety measures and ensure the well-being of all participants.
Conflict Resolution
1. Address Concerns Appropriately: If you have an issue, approach staff calmly and respectfully. Disputes or concerns will be handled promptly and fairly.
2. Avoid Confrontation: Refrain from engaging in arguments or disruptive behavior during sessions or events.
3. Promote Harmony: Work collaboratively with staff to create a positive atmosphere for all players and families.
Consequences of Breach
Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may lead to:
– A discussion with the coaching staff regarding the breach.
– Temporary exclusion from sessions or events for repeated or serious violations.
– Further action taken by our organisation if necessary, in accordance with our policies.
By following this Code of Conduct, you play a vital role in creating a positive and memorable football experience for your child and all participants. Together, we can create a love for the game, build valuable life skills, and provide an inclusive and thriving environment at 1st Touch Football Kickz.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to supporting our vision!
